Our Epsilon Alpha Chapter is making significant strides in both membership, academics, and campus involvement. They are also increasing their presence and standing on the Auburn University campus (as of Spring Semester 2025, Epsilon Alpha moved up to #19 of 28 campus fraternities).
The Chapter has many members involved in at least one campus organization outside of our Delta Tau Delta Chapter. Over the past several academic years, approximately 85% of our Chapter members have been involved in campus organizations. Additionally, Epsilon Alpha received the James E. Martin Interfraternity Council Small Fraternity of the Year for Academic Year 2023-2024 and 2024-2025.

Expansion project goals are to first expand parking, add a basketball court, and expand the usable backyard space behind the current Shelter before constructing an Annex building to include nine bedrooms (one ADA bedroom), a multipurpose room, a study room and non-resident lockers; and upgrading and repairing the existing Shelter building infrastructure.
This expansion project will be completed in two separate and distinct phases independent of each other. Phase one will include the additional parking, backyard expansion and Annex building utilities and building pad. Timing of Phase two will be decided after completion of Phase one and an assessment of the ongoing fundraiser. The work completed in Phase one can stand alone until that decision has been made.
Incremental increases in the room rental and parlor fee rates that comprise the monthly lease amounts paid to the House Corporation by the Chapter.
Fundraiser donations that will reduce the current mortgage balance that must be rolled into the new mortgage at project completion.
A new 20-year mortgage secured through the Delta Tau Delta Loyalty Fund.
Remove the necessary privacy fence sections after the last fraternity event in the Spring Semester 2026 (including any remaining posts) to facilitate grading operations. Reinstall the north, west and east perimeter wood fence and install 120 linear feet of temporary construction fence for short term closure of the southern area between back yard and the Annex during construction. Remove the temporary fence and completion of the wood fence after completion of the Annex building.
Cut and fill in the non-structural areas of the project limits to balance and create a 3’ undercut building pad with new structural fill for the Annex. Seed and sod the disturbed areas during the summer months for use during Fall Semester 2026. Clearing limits will be based on Auburn University approval.
Add additional parking to northern parking lot (3,250 square feet) matching existing slope on west side and warping to sheet drain to the east. Scope to include parking space stripes and basketball layout striping. Install 75 linear feet of under slab conduit for future electrical in this area. Add additional parking in the radius parking at northwest corner of northern parking lot (PermPave or concrete, 1,900 square feet). Given potential runoff requirements, the preference is concrete paving to match existing.
Add pier footings for two MegaSlam basketball goals, move exiting MegaSlam basketball goal and purchase additional MegaSlam basketball goal with installation by independent contractor secured through Mega Slam Hoops.
Install a water box with 1.5” domestic, a 4” fire main, a Fire Department Connection (FDC) where firefighters can pump water into the building's fire sprinkler or standpipe system, and sub to 5’ outside the Annex building along the southern property line.
Install a 4” sewer lateral based on known elevations (approximately 150 linear feet) and tie in to existing sewer line before the manhole-vertical 4” riser to grade.
Install a transformer pad and empty conduits for future Alabama Power connection to Annex building (120 linear feet).
Install empty conduits for future Auburn University provided internet service to Annex building (approximately 260 linear feet).
Undercut and establish an 80’ x 50’ Annex building pad with 3’ of compacted fill to subgrade for top of footings. Temporarily cover with crushed stone.
Provide landscaping based on plan approved by Auburn University.
At the completion of Phase One, there will be a joint assessment by the House Corporation and the Delta Tau Delta Loyalty Fund Leadership to determine when Phase Two can begin. If the “Retire the Debt” fundraiser and Phase One construction have been successful, then Loyalty Fund Leadership have committed to consider a supplemental Loyalty Fund Loan request for Phase Two construction.

The ground floor will have storage areas under the vestibule stairs for chapter use.

The second floor will have two apartment units each with three bedrooms featuring private bathrooms, a washer / dryer, a galley kitchen and a living room.
